My whole life, I have witnessed, time and time again, the power of art and creativity to bring people together. I have seen this everywhere from my earliest days in the South Bay Young at Art program, to my studies at the California Institute of the Arts, to working in galleries big, small, and everything in between across SoCal. The arts are a community of their own, and likewise all communities are built, in one way or another, on the arts.

I also saw the great power that art possesses of tying a space together, transforming it into something as living, breathing, and feeling as those same communities who inhabit them.
